Singer-songwriter Anita Baker will NOT go to jail today and is negotiating to allow a judge to research how much her ex-husband is owed in music royalties. 

Apparently all this drama started when Anita and husband got divorced. Walter and Anita have known each other for over 30 years and were married for nearly 23 years. The couple were together throughout Anita’s career, and Walter claims that he helped her with some of her more popular recordings.

When they split, they decided to share joint custody of their two sons, Walter Jr (16) and Edward (15). As part of the divorce,the couple agreed to split all of Anita’s recording money and royalties 50-50. (now why would you do that Anita??)

According to a Detroit newspaper, a judge ordered Baker to attend a contempt of court hearing this morning after she failed Thursday to explain why she hadn’t followed orders to sign letters authorizing a court-appointed expert on music industry contracts to seek information from record companies about payments for the music she has written and performed.

Baker got her chance to speak under oath to the judge today, expressing her anxiety about being under the threat of jail.

RiRi may have had her a certain “rude boy” before he went into prison.  Sources told bossip.com exclusively that T.I. and Rihanna shared more than just their hit song “Live Your Life” before Clifford headed to his cell.  Here’s what they’re saying:

They exposed the secret that Chris had been hitting off Alycia Bellamy from “Daddy’s Girls,” multiple sources hit us up confirming that it was not just a rumor (as Alycia tried to claim via Twitter before deleting) but that Alycia was preferred among those who truly cared for Chris. Especially since these sources also knew that Little Miss Sunshine Rihanna had been spreading her umbrella for more than just Chris.

According to BOSSIP sources, in the months after “the incident” as Chris and Rihanna tried to work through all the drama and stay together — they both continued to be unfaithful. Chris with Alycia, and Rihanna with several other folks.

Whitney Houston’s tour has been off to a rough start. BOSSIP has learned the singer collapsed backstage after at least one show and has struggled through nearly every tour date thus far. Experts are now saying Houston’s hard living is catching up to her and she may have only a few years to live.

Regarding her performances in Seoul, Korea, one insider said:

And Dr. Gabe Mirkin, a board-certified specialist in internal medicine, told The ENQUIRER that heavy alcohol use damages the liver and cocaine abuse “causes cardiovascular damage and sets victims up for heart attack or stroke… Continuing to abuse these substances can shorten Whitney’s lifespan by at least 25 years.”
