The Telgraph reports,

After Yohan Blake’s stunning 100m victory over the triple Olympic champion at the Jamaican Olympic trials, the suggestion that he might now want to rename it ‘Project Blake’ brought a loud guffaw.

“You’ve just got to forget about it,” laughed Chambers, after helping his British team-mates qualify quickest for the 4x100m relay final at the European Championships in Helsinki. “Those guys are on another planet.”

Bolt’s world record-breaking 100m victory in Beijing four years ago is hailed as one of the greatest moments in Olympic history, yet it was essentially a one-man show, an exhibition of almost superhuman athleticism but not a competitive event.

The emergence of Blake, who not only defeated Bolt at the trials but did so in a winning time of 9.75sec that is the fastest in the world this year, means the London Olympics now has a genuine race on its hands. And quite possibly the greatest 100m race there has ever been.

Hoops World reports,

Los Angeles Clippers guard Mo Williams officially picked up his option for next season, which clears the way for a three-team trade that will send the Dallas Mavericks’ Lamar Odom to the Clippers and Williams to the Utah Jazz.

Williams’ agent, Mark Bartelstein, told ESPNLosAngeles.com about the deal Friday.

The trade allows the Mavericks to relieve themselves of Odom’s salary. They originally had until Friday to either pay $2.4 million to buy out Odom’s $8.2 million salary for next season or have him on the books for 2012-13 but the deadline was extended to Saturday to finalize the trade.

Odom and Williams began their NBA careers with the Clippers and Jazz, respectively.

Odom was traded by the Los Angeles Lakers to the Mavericks in December, but his time with the Mavericks was not productive. He averaged just 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game for Dallas, and Odom and the Mavs agreed to part ways on April 9.

It had been reported that Odom, 32, wanted to return to Los Angeles.

Williams averaged 13.2 points, and 3.1 assists in 52 games, including one start, for the Clippers this past season.

Today Show reports,

A flight attendant on a weather-delayed plane at LaGuardia Airport in New York City yelled at passengers and challenged them to leave the plane if they dared.

The incident involving American Eagle flight attendant Jose Serrano was caught on video. Flight 4607 to Raleigh-Durham, N.C., was delayed for five hours on Monday.

Port Authority police were called to the plane.

American Airlines apologized for the incident. It said in a statement it did “not believe that the passengers’ frustrations were always met with the level of service that we expect from our people.”

Serrano was removed from the plane. There were no arrests.

The incident recalled a similar episode involving a JetBlue attendant last year who swore at passengers and pulled the emergency chute on a flight after it landed at Kennedy Airport.
