Zap 2 It reports,

The CW has picked up its new drama “Arrow” for a full season — which is what you do when a show delivers your network its biggest audience in three years.

The show, which stars Stephen Amell as the title character, got its back-nine episode order on Monday (Oct. 22), two episodes into the season. Those two episodes, though, have brought The CW some very strong ratings.

The series premiere on Oct. 10 scored 4.1 million viewers, the most to watch a CW series since late 2009. Episode 2 held up quite well, bringing in 3.5 million viewers and holding all of its adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 audience from the previous week. The CW notes it’s the only new drama this season not to maintain its demographic numbers from the first to the second episode.

“Our strategy of rolling out our new fall schedule later in the year really paid off for The CW on several levels, especially with ‘Arrow,’ CW president Mark Pedowitz says. “I’m proud of the quality of ‘Arrow’ and I’m happy we’ll be able to share more of it with viewers.”

The Arrow is off to a great start, as we watched the premiere it held our attention from beginning to end…apparently most of America agreed as well. If you missed it check out the full episode….
ICV2 reports,
Wednesday night’s premiere of Arrow, the TV series based on DC Comics’ Green Arrow, attracted 4.02 million viewers, the most for any show on the CW network in three years. It performed better than any CW show since the premiere of The Vampire Diaries in September of 2009 manage to garner 4.91 million viewers.
Arrow also had a positive effect on the long-running Supernatural series that follows it. Supernatural scored the best ratings it has earned in over two years with 2.6 million viewers.

Queen Latifah and the CW are teaming up for a new sit-com, “The Star Next Door,” and will include Latifah, Gloria Estefan and John Rich traveling across the country looking for the best and brightest to compete and represent their home towns in a Hollywood face-off.

Kris Humphries’ older sister Kaela, just inked a deal with Ford Models’ FORD + division for plus-size talent.

“The division that brought you Crystal Renn, Ashley Graham, Candice Huffine and Marquita Pring among others is excited at the prospect of bringing this beautiful, engaging young woman to markets worldwide,” the agency said in a release. “A true size 16-18, Kaela will be in a league of her own.”

She had he debut during New York Fashion Week. She also appeared on Kim & Kourtney Take New York, and the CW’s Remodeled.

“There’s a word that I can’t stand, this world ‘plus-size’ model,” Paul Fisher, a longtime modeling agent featured on Remodeled, told Zap2It earlier this year when asked about Humphries. “Kaela, they call her a plus-size model. I don’t even know what this word plus means. She’s normal. She’s perfect. She’s beautiful.”
