Steve Harvey made clear his thoughts on Tavis Smiley and Cornel West’s controversial “Poverty Tour,” as well as his feelings about both men: he called them “Uncle Toms.” While West and Smiley claim they are participating in the tour to help further expose the plight of poor people and push those in power, namely President Obama, to do more to help them, Harvey called it a bunch of BS. Instead, he blames sore feelings and personal vendettas against the president for unsent inauguration tickets and dashed public speaking hopes as a reason the men have been attacking President Obama so hard as of late:

“I was a huge fan of Cornel West,” he said. “[But] Tavis, I seen him coming a mile away. His anger started when he had a town hall meeting, President Obama couldn’t come because of the campaign trail and he sent Mrs. Obama. He has held that grudge ever since.”
