Usain Bolt knocked off a British model during the 2012 London Olympics, according to Bossip.
The triple gold medalist sprinter is said to have began dating model Megan Edwards after meeting at an event held to launch Jamaica’s kit shortly before the Games started at the end of July.
“It was crazy, everyone was trying to get a piece of him – especially the girls,” a friend of the model told the publication of one of their dates.
“But Usain only had eyes for one girl that night, and that was Megan. She was by his side all night. Bolt then took Megan for a star-studded night at central London club Movida, where they partied with Olympian Yohan Blake, Amir Khan, Lennox Lewis and Nas.
“Everyone was on great form, Usain was high-fiving the other athletes and posing for pictures as they drunk champagne,” the insider continued.
“Megan was in her element and Usain introduced her to Lennox and Yohan and she had her picture taken with them. She’s really smitten with Usain. It’s nothing too serious at the moment as he’s jetting all over the world – but they are two adults having fun.”
Bolt reportedly dumped his girlfriend in the run-up to the Olympics so he could focus on taking home gold.
A friend of Megan said the relationship was ‘nothing too serious’ and that they were just two adults having fun
The Telgraph reports,
After Yohan Blake’s stunning 100m victory over the triple Olympic champion at the Jamaican Olympic trials, the suggestion that he might now want to rename it ‘Project Blake’ brought a loud guffaw.
“You’ve just got to forget about it,” laughed Chambers, after helping his British team-mates qualify quickest for the 4x100m relay final at the European Championships in Helsinki. “Those guys are on another planet.”
Bolt’s world record-breaking 100m victory in Beijing four years ago is hailed as one of the greatest moments in Olympic history, yet it was essentially a one-man show, an exhibition of almost superhuman athleticism but not a competitive event.
The emergence of Blake, who not only defeated Bolt at the trials but did so in a winning time of 9.75sec that is the fastest in the world this year, means the London Olympics now has a genuine race on its hands. And quite possibly the greatest 100m race there has ever been.
Olympian Usain Bolt was in a car crash this weekend and walked away uninjured reports TMZ.
A rep for Bolt says the crash took place in Kingston, Jamaica at 5:15 AM. Bolt was returning home from a Saturday night shin-dig with friends when the “fender bender” occurred.
There were no injuries and Bolt is “fine and resting at home.” His teammate, Asafa Powell, was also on scene at the time of the crash, but was traveling in a different car.
Prince Harry continued his Caribbean tour with a stop in Jamaica, where he joked with three-time Olympic Gold sprinter Usain Bolt, visited a local hospital and attended a state dinner with the Jamaican prime minister, reports CBS News.
The world’s fastest man broke out of the starting block early in Sunday’s 100 meter final in South Korea and was disqualified from the race, providing an abrupt end to the dominance he’s maintained in track’s biggest event since the Beijing Olympics.
